<p>IEC 61000-4-6:2023 relates to the conducted immunity requirements of electrical and electronic equipment to electromagnetic disturbances coming from intended radio-frequency (RF) transmitters in the frequency range 150 kHz up to 80 MHz.</p>
<p><strong>NOTE 1</strong> Product committees might decide to use the methods described in this document also for frequencies up to 230 MHz (see Annex B) although the methods and test instrumentation are intended to be used in the frequency range up to 80 MHz.</p>
<p>Equipment not having at least one conducting wire or cable (such as mains supply, signal line or earth connection) which can couple the equipment to the disturbing RF fields is excluded from the scope of this document.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>NOTE 2</strong> Test methods are specified in this part of IEC 61000 to assess the effect that conducted disturbing signals, induced by electromagnetic radiation, have on the equipment concerned. The simulation and measurement of these conducted disturbances are not adequately exact for the quantitative determination of effects. The test methods specified are structured for the primary objective of establishing adequate repeatability of results at various facilities for quantitative analysis of effects.</p>
<p>The object of this document is to establish a common reference for evaluating the functional immunity of electrical and electronic equipment when subjected to conducted disturbances induced by RF fields. The test method in this document describes a consistent method to assess the immunity of an equipment or system against a specified phenomenon.</p>

<p><strong>NOTE 3</strong> As described in IEC Guide 107, this document is a basic EMC publication for use by product committees of the IEC. As also stated in Guide 107, the IEC product committees are responsible for determining whether this immunity test standard should be applied or not, and if applied, they are responsible for determining the appropriate test levels and performance criteria.</p>
<p>This fifth edition cancels and replaces the fourth edition published in 2013. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:</p>
<ol>
<li>a) selection of injection devices revised;</li>
<li>b) need of AE impedance check for clamp injection removed and Annex H deleted;</li>
<li>c) saturation check revised;</li>
<li>d) new Annex H on testing with multiple signals;</li>
<li>e) level-setting only with feedback loop.</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Measuring the sound quality of TV sets</strong></p>
<p>A new international standard, IEC 60268-23, specifies acoustical measurement methods for television sets, monitors with built-in loudspeakers and other audio devices with similar acoustical properties, such as flat-panel loudspeakers.</p>
<p>The new standard provides measurement methods for the audio system of TVs and monitors that take the listening environment into account. This ensures that the sound quality of these devices is consistent, regardless of the installation type and position of the loudspeaker.</p>
<p>The new standard was needed because the sound characteristics of TVs and monitors can vary significantly depending on the location and position of the loudspeakers. A lot of TVs  place their speakers at the bottom of the screen, while others are in the middle, side or on the rear of the set.</p>
<p>Speakers can also be used on stands or mounted on a wall. Methods used for their installation continue to evolve.</p>
<p>Due to these variations, it was essential to develop new measurement methods for loudspeakers of TVs and monitors that can take into account the listening environment.</p>
<p>The standard applies to acoustical measurements that are performed under free-field conditions and in-situ. It does not assess the perception and cognitive evaluation of the reproduced sound, nor the impact of perceived sound quality.</p>

<p><strong>IEC 60350-1:2023</strong> specifies methods for measuring the performance of electric cooking ranges, ovens, steam ovens, and grills for household use. This document is also applicable to portable appliances with similar functionalities that were previously covered by the withdrawn IEC 61817.</p>
<p>The ovens covered by this document can be with or without microwave function. Manufacturers are expected to define the primary cooking function of the appliance – microwave function or thermal heat. The primary cooking function is measured with an existing method according to energy consumption. If the primary cooking function is declared in the instruction manual as a microwave function, IEC 60705 is applied for energy consumption measurement. If the primary cooking function is declared as a thermal heat, then IEC 60350-1 is applied for energy consumption measurement. If the primary function is not declared by the manufacturer, the performance of the microwave function and thermal heat is measured as far as it is possible.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>For measurement of energy consumption and time for heating a load (see Clause 8), this document is furthermore not applicable to:</p>
<p>&#8211; microwave combination function;<br />
&#8211; ovens with reciprocating trays or turntable;<br />
&#8211; small cavity ovens (see 3.16);<br />
&#8211; ovens without adjustable temperature control;<br />
&#8211; heating functions and eco functions other than defined in this document;<br />
&#8211; appliances with only solo steam function.</p>
<p>This document does not apply to microwave ovens (IEC 60705). This document defines the main performance characteristics of these appliances that are of interest to the user and specifies methods for measuring these characteristics. This document does not specify a classification or ranking for performance. This document does not deal with safety requirements (IEC 60335-2-6 and IEC 60335-2-9). Appliances covered by this document can be built-in or for placing on a working surface or the floor. There is no measurement method for the energy consumption for grilling and steam functions available.</p>
<p>This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition published in 2016 and Interpretation Sheet 1:2021. This edition constitutes a technical revision. This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:</p>

<li>a) new definitions for heating function, eco function and definitions relevant for low power mode considerations are amended in Clause 3;<br />
b) order of clauses is changed;<br />
c) revision of 5.3;<br />
d) update of 6.2 in order to improve the reliability of volume measurement;<br />
e) removal of 6.7, Level of shelf;<br />
f) revision of Clause 7 concerning the accuracy of eco functions with residual heat use;<br />
g) revision of Clause 8 in order to improve the reliability of the method for measuring the energy consumption, especially regarding anti-circumvention;<br />
h) unique energy consumption measurement for all heating functions and eco functions with an indication of the energy consumption for a temperature increase of 165 K (compared to 155 K currently for forced air circulation function, for example), which results in higher energy consumption values compared to the previous edition;<br />
i) Ry replaced by L* in Clause 9 and reference to IEC TS 63350;<br />
j) cooking time for reference measurement introduced for broccoli in Clause 10;<br />
k) yellow part replaced by hue angle value in Clause 10;<br />
l) requirements for digital assessment (see former 7.5.3.6.3) are obsolete as specified in IEC TS 63350;<br />
m) revision of Clause 14 (Consumption measurement of low power modes, previous Clause 12);<br />
n) former Annex G (informative) is cancelled due to the fact that this method for measuring an associated activity has been not applied;<br />
o) former Annexes B and F are obsolete, up-to-date shade charts are specified in IEC TS 63350;<br />
p) former Annex E will be substituted by a supporting document located on the IEC&#8217;s website.</li>

<p>IEC 60364-4-43:2023 (E) provides requirements for:<br />
– protection of live conductors, PEN conductors, PEM conductors, and PEL conductors against the harmful effects caused by overcurrent;<br />
– coordination of measures for protection against overcurrent.<br />
This fourth edition cancels and replaces the third edition published in 2008. This edition constitutes a technical revision.<br />
This edition includes the following significant technical changes with respect to the previous edition:<br />
a) the standard has been restructured, see Table 1 (Correspondence between IEC 60364‑4‑43:2008 and this document) below;<br />
b) the measure &#8220;automatic disconnection of supply&#8221; has been designated as the preferred measure for protection against overcurrent;<br />
c) all measures except the measure &#8220;automatic disconnection of supply&#8221; have been transferred into new normative annexes to indicate that these measures are usable in certain applications and under certain restricted conditions only (see Annex A, Annex B and Annex E);<br />
d) a new clause &#8220;Terms and definitions&#8221; has been added;<br />
e) new requirements have been added for the protection of the neutral or mid-point conductor (with and without triplen harmonics).</p>
