As a Notified Entity, IEP assesses the conformity of elevators with a view to their entry into operation under Directive 2014/33/EU.

In our daily lives, lifts, escalators, conveyor belts and goods lifts, are indispensable in the mobility of people and goods and as such, it is vital to ensure the safety of these equipment!
As na Elevator Inspection Entity, IEP is carried out as periodic inspections of elevators, freight elevators, moving walks and escalators, as provided for in Decree-Law No. 320/2002 of December 28th.
